When we decided to move we said we would definitely build again but never do a renovation again, well that idea didn’t really go to plan. In this property market you really need to be open to ideas and maybe think outside the box, otherwise you may miss out altogether. For us it has not only been extremely busy with work but also at home. I’m very excited to say that our renovations are finally under way. It has been and still is like living as squatters with our food pantry on the coffee table and our kettle and toaster in the bedroom on top of the chest of drawers etc. The good news is that we are starting to now see the light.
So far we have had walls knocked down, windows taken out, French doors installed, lighting installed, the new kitchen partially installed and the garage sheeted to create an additional room.
Still to come… Kitchen appliances, bathroom reno, painting and floors polished. It’s a journey but we are really looking forward to the finished result and all of those hours searching for items on the net being worthwhile. More updates to follow
